Can I show you my 000 in zircote and ash

This turned out better than I thought it would. At first I was skeptical about the ash neck, but one good thing about adventuresome customers is the new paths that you have to take. There is creativity on those paths.

Anyway, zircote and red spruce box. Curly ash binding and neck. Zircote overlay, rosette and bridge.






The owner wanted a celtic motif inlayed on the peghead and a little celtic something on the fingerboard. Here is a couple of stylized Celtic Dogs whose configuration fit the slotted peghead pretty well.

What the heck here is the back of the peghead


I am trying to upgrade my image after the banjo thing.

Gorgeous guitar all over Master John, ziricote will get at the top of my favorites list, coupled with ash bindings, it gives the guitar a lot of class anf refinement, shees very beautiful!

Looks like--after this effort--you need to do a banjo. Sort of a regroup / heal kind of experience. (Guitars are just so hard!)

What a beauty! What type of ash is that? The ash we have here is quite heavy at least compared to mahogany, is the guitar neck heavy?

Absolutely wonderful John, you are certainly one of the real class acts here. The top looks like it could have come from one of the golden era Martins. The rear view of that peghead is luscious, yep, that's the word.

OK go build a banjo, you've earned the right to be weird!

I just love it, the design to me has lots of detail, but it is all working together rather than looking brash, great design, great execution.

Whoever bought that guitar certainly gets a big reward for being prepared to experiment.
